AI Spotlight #3

January 23th, 2023

This week features 9 interesting pieces of generative art I came across - from a very realistic pencil sketch of a man to 3 beautiful banners and some usual scenery that I love... A great tool that allows you to build custom chatbots based off your content. The next evolution of how dating apps are going to be in the future. Some more news from around the AI world and a prompt engineering job posting!

Make sure to follow me on your social media of choice (keeping it a mix of informative and unhinged short form content) - Tiktok, Instagram & Youtube Shorts

Loved the warm tones mixed with the cool blues + the futuristic couch with the white forest looks sick.

These beautiful banners by Soyo using Stable Diffusion.

Something about the rose just brings the whole look on this woman together.

I loved this because it just jumped out to me like an actual scene out of some horror film. Dalle 2 imo shines when it comes to creating realistic photograph renders.

Uncharted 2 vibes.

https://www.trydocent.ai/ - This tool built on top of existing ai chatbots goes a step further and allows you to upload your own docs or website links to create a custom chatbot that understands a user query and uses your content to provide a reply.  Founder Caelin also mentioned that if you are looking to integrate this directly onto your site as it is currently hosted on the docent website to reach out to them for help!

As an example, I linked a great blog that Spatial Dynamics publishes - a startup that helps create your physical tech products.

I then asked the chatbot questions like a potential customer would on their website and it gave me coherent answers that matched up exactly as described in the blogs. Here are some examples.

https://roast.dating/photoshoot - MANNNNNNN... the next era of dating profiles is almost here. Roast dating uses AI to generate pictures for your dating profile (and not the lensa cartoon portraits... straight up indistinguishable from regular photos) .

Me personally... I am not looking forward to having to compete with dudes generating pictures of themselves on vacations in exotic locations, its a recession out here... But it's coming and you might as well be aware of it...

Another great animated short film created using AI tools. Check out the entire thread to see Ammaar's entire workflow!

Here's a great blog post by the folks over at Deepgram going into how they utilized Ai generated artwork to replace all their blog post art. It talks about their selection process for the tool, what worked great and what didn't - what were the challenges as well as concerns regarding consistency and ownership rights.

The next hot career path that can be easily pivoted to as a fairly non technical person will be prompt engineering. Take a look at the job posting below which is going to become more and more common as the year goes on.

But seriously... the salary range is literally $250 to 335k for this job...

There's so much I haven't gotten to this week! Next week I will be talking about a site I came across that helps you create and optimize your resume as well as crafts intro messages to send to people you want to connect with on LinkedIn and other social networks!

Want me to post more art and skip the links? Want me to look for more ai generated videos or tools instead? Want to refer me to someone to talk who is building cool stuff to feature? Let me know :)
